Community Connectors Program
Horizon Development Properties, Inc., and INLIVIAN in partnership with The City of Charlotte, are leveraging the HUD Choice Neighborhoods grant opportunity to support the redevelopment of the former Dillehay Courts apartments. This initiative includes multiple efforts to convene community stakeholders and former residents including a comprehensive survey of former Dillehay Courts residents, kick off event, visioning workshops and educational programming.
Community Connectors Ambassador Program
The Community Connectors will serve as ambassadors for the Choice Neighborhood efforts by encouraging community participation and engagement in the project. We are seeking a diverse group of community members that share a common interest in the former Dillehay Courts site and an interest in connecting residents to vital resources. All participants are expected to build relationships to strengthen the community’s trust and engagement. Additionally, the Community Connectors program will aid in obtaining the 90% former resident survey completion goal by the end of the engagement period. Each former resident who completes a survey will receive a $25 stipend.
We are looking for active and engaged ambassadors for two key roles: Community Surveyors and Community Connectors.

- Community Connectors are expected to attend community workshops and meetings, share information about the program online and in their family networks
- Community Connectors are expected to help reach former residents to set up survey appointments
- Community Surveyors will be compensated $20 per hour for up to 10 hours per month
