Recap: NC MWBE Coordinator’s Conference

The Civility Localized team was thrilled to be part of the NC MWBE Coordinator Network's 37th annual Professional Development Conference on November 16th.

Not only was the Civility Localized team grateful to be in the room, but it was an honor for Christine Edwards, our Founder and Principal Consultant, to speak in a Keynote address.

The conference theme of Elevate, Educate, and Empower resonated deeply with where we are as a small business. In a packed ballroom, Christine was able to share her perspective on the rapidly changing DEI landscape, and how it specifically impacts MWBE small businesses.

We remain dedicated to advancing minority- and women-owned businesses, and we pledge to continue supporting organizations prioritizing equity, diversity, and inclusion.

New Partnership Announcement: Civility Localized will partner with Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE) and the City of Rocky Mount as Community Engagement Facilitator for engaging residents around financial empowerment in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

CFE helps local government leaders embed systemic financial empowerment programs and policies into city services to improve individual and family financial stability and has provided grants totaling more than $64 Million in 112+ cities and counties.

Civility Localized will facilitate in-person and virtual events to engage and educate the community. Stay tuned for ways to get involved.

What is the GSP Transit Feasibility Study?

The GSP Transit Feasibility Study is a comprehensive study to evaluate the feasibility of implementing additional public transit in Greenville County, SC. The study will examine a variety of transit options, including an airport transit hub.

What is Civility Localized's role?

Civility Localized has been tasked with conducting community engagement for the GSP Transit Feasibility Study.

Our firm is committed to helping the Greenville, SC community make their voices heard in the research and planning process for public transportation in upstate South Carolina.
